What is Embroidery?

Embroidery Example

This is the stitching of a design or logo on your garment. You can choose one of our own stock designs already digitised or you can opt to have your own logo or pattern digitised and have that embroidered on your garment.

The quality of the design is the key to final embroidery quality. Considerations are made to the design regarding the kind of garment being applied to, stitch direction, density, turn, colour, type, pattern and many other aspects to achieve a high quality product. As professional embroiderers we do our own in-house digitisation enabling us to make the detail changes as required. This also enables us to undertake pre-release logo and brand work under confidentiality agreements.

We welcome low volume (1 to 50 items) through to high volume (1000 to 10000 items) orders as, dependiing upon stitch count and processing difficulty, we have the capacity to embroider up to 950 items per day.

Where can I have my logo embroidered?

Where can I have embroidery

You can have the logo embroidered virtually anywhere on your garment. Common positions are the front left chest, sleeves, nape of the neck, front centre or back. If you want the logo on the sleeve we recommend the right arm - if your logo is also front left chest - and visa versa. You can have the logo on both sleeves of course.

In addition you can choose to have embroidered lines of text in various positions surrounding your main logo. Above or below - straight, circular or in an arc.

What size will my logo be?

Under normal circumstances, your logo should be a maximum of 10cm x 10cm on the front left/right chest. Any larger and it will over-power your garment.  The sleeves are max 6cm x 6cm. Backs are a maximum size of an A3 sheet of paper.

What is the process of having my logo embroidered?

  1. Email your logo to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or use the "UPLOAD YOUR LOGO..." menu option on the left, once logged in to the site.
  2. When we receive your logo, we will assess it for image quality and suitability for embroidery. If the image is poor quality or badly drawn, we will advise if the image needs to be recreated/redrawn. Usually this is free  if it is a relatively simple logo.  Sometimes, an image cannot be embroidered because of the nature of it (3D graphic, heavy graduations or lines too thin) in which case we will advise that it should be "multi colour printed" instead - see the "About Printing" section for further information on printing.
  3. We then convert your logo to stitches (digitization). This is done in house - here at our premises. We do not send it out to a 3rd party company for digitisation. Our principle here is that we have the skills and the resources to get your logo correct. We can communicate with you expediently and efficiently giving you the service you deserve. Once your logo is complete, then we have it on file for all future orders.
  4. After this we send you a picture of it (an attachment in an email) for you to make any alterations as you require until you are happy.  If you wish, we can stitch up the logo on a test piece of material and post it to you.
  5. Your garments are then processed and delivered.

Can I have embroidery on my own garments?

If required, we can embroider onto your own garments. However, if they have been worn, washed, or are of poor quality, we cannot guarantee the embroidery quality. Also, there is the risk that the garments may get damaged in the process.
